This movie is super disturbing. Most bcuz it is true. This is exactly how the human race would act with no one to govern. A 2023 Lord of the Flies if u will of if Covid caused blindness’s & not loss of smell of taste.

This film was a fun ride, spoiled slightly by an underwhelming ending.

Some films you have to look at and ask, "Who signed off on spending money on this trash?!?" Blindness stars 3 somebodies and 3 nobodies, and I'm surprised the somebodies (J.Moore, M.Ruffalo, and D.Glover) thought this was a good film to…

-A lot of dark scenes, brutality, pandemonium. The groping scenes in the streets were a bit much. All the trash in the streets was over done, possibly put there to emphasis how things go to the dogs when people can't see. Glover didn't…

Julianne Moore, Todd Haynes favourite actress, seems somewhat out of place in this lead footed sci-fi fantasy. Many years ago, Moore appeared in "Safe", a Haynes film that fit her style much better. Maybe Haynes could have cut the…

Near-future story in which a sudden pandemic of blindness strikes a large city and begins to spread rapidly. As the growing number of afflicted are crowded into makeshift isolation camps, martial law begins to degenerate into the law of…

I read the book and had hot & cold feelings about it. I actually liked the movie better — the medium lent itself to the story better. The film was still a bit long (though not nearly as much of a slog as the book), some of the acting was…

Interesting plot but much too long. I wonder if the ending is the same as in the book; it steers very close to a happy ending, which is a bit difficult to believe after 2 hours of endless ordeals. And speaking of endless, why does the…

B + this movie is philosophical and interesting. The plot thickens but it can be a bit disturbing. It made me question myself and allowed me to appreciate the gift of Sight. Everyone should own or rent this movie.

Subject matter is dark and philosophically interesting - how do civilized people behave under extreme circumstances. But this movie is dull and boring.

A disturbing movie with lots of fascinating meaningful moments. Although my friend thought the plot was contrived ("She would never do that,") I think the movie did an excellent job of showing what a normal human might do under the given…

The book was way better. The movie was too slow and boring. They did some cool light effects to portray the 'blindness,' though.

Outside of the premise, this movie fails on all counts. The acting is flat and the storyline meanders pointlessly.

Very bleak movie

I really enjoyed this movie. The world is one which falls apart and I love how the director covers some really dark subjects without drowning the thing. It's certainly interesting to conjecture how individuals would react to a pandemic…

A strong, graphic depiction of human behaviour during an extreme global catastrophe. We are familiar with localized disasters like earthquakes and floods, where the rest of the world can help. However, when the entire world is a disaster…

This movie surprised me. I expected the usual Hollywood glitz and special effects until I saw Don McKellar show up as one of the characters. Then I knew I was in for a treat (turns out he was the screenwriter). This film will make you…

Must See – Blindness (2008) 121 min. A frightening scenario strikes mankind – everyone goes blind. This film explores how today’s society breaks down and another emerges. I really bought into the film’s message of how humanity becomes…
