I'm reading all these in order well after they were written so there is no gap between reading them. If I had a gap for her to have to write them (if I was reading years ago when they were written) then I might have a different review. But here it is: I'm fairly well sick to death of the smug, condescending, critical attitude of Miss Hannah Swensen. She's dating multiple people but gets all upset when Mike dates someone else? And slut shaming Ronnie just because SHE'S too uptight to go to bed with Mike or Norman? Crappy. I don't know anyone from MN but I'm guessing they aren't stuck in the 1950's like Hannah. The story otherwise was fun and interesting and mostly well written. The author is getting a bit lazy and repeats herself from book to book a lot. You can tell she's 80% just in it for the money at this point in the series. But I like Moishe and Norman and Michelle so that's keeping me interested.

Joanne Fluke is an author you can count on to be engaging, loveable and sometimes surprising. I enjoyed this read as I have many of Fluke's books. Especially enjoyed the little twist!

Joanne Fluke has out done herself again. I thought I knew who the murderer was until the very end, and then Fluke had a surprise ending. Can't wait to read the next one.

I always love Joanne's books and her recipes! Cozy mystery fans should read all the books in the series.

I love this cozy mystery series by Joanne Fluke! This is the 12th title in the series and I've really enjoyed the development of the main character, Hannah Swensen, along with her family, friends and two suitors, who are competing for her attention. Hannah runs a gourmet cookie store and continually gets herself involved in the local community murders and ends up trying to solve them. Recipes included and always a delightful read.
