A great choice for reading aloud during Black History Month in February! The legendary Louis Armstrong, famous for his distinctive, gravelly voice and incredible vocal improv and trumpet skills, teaches a young girl how to "scat" using common nonsense syllables strung together to create improvised vocal melodies.
This book is an absolute joy for both reader and listener. Be sure to encourage the kiddies to give "scat" a try to stretch their own creative improvisation muscles!
