My take away from this whole unprecedented pandemic ? Someone will find a way to exploit the situation. I tend to think this way - always looking for the angle - and who is working it. This book will have you thinking about Wall Street and how risk is everything.

I really enjoyed this book. So many twists and turns I never knew what was going to happen next t. Could not put it down.

A hedge fund manager with a heart of gold, who is super-successful but easily duped by those (of incredibly questionable character) surrounding him? Oh, yes, the author is sure the global economic meltdown was caused by poor, greedy people and Bernie Madoff? At least the FBI aren't portrayed as the usual "good guys" and the evildoer at the end is another hedge fund fraudster (as well it should be, since the hedge fund construct is pure financial fraud to begin with!). Couldn't care less what happens to the main character by the middle of the book, just that he be killed off quickly - - but no such luck! Grippando comes across as the typical shyster - - Oops! He is a shyster! (The bear run on Saxton Silvers is loosely based on the bear run on Bear Stearns orchestrated by JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank. One interesting part of this unfortunate book.)

Absolutely loved this book!!! Stayed up all night to finish it. I had just about given up on Grippando after Under the Cover of Darkness. Only thing lacking was a small glossary of Wall Street terms. Be prepared to Google some terms.
