Nice flow, precise writing, good descriptions, easy read. New to this author and found she has great details about end of life events, needs, descriptions. So accurate describing the hoarding behavior, or just what happens when ageing leans toward it. Death comes to all, don't leave your mess for others to sort. I'd recommend this to children of the ageing and the ageing themselves as it's vivid imagery.

The devious, less than ethical practices of real estate dealings were covered nicely. Historical events of NYC interesting to one never been, never wanted to visit.

Though this book is promoted as a suspense filled psychological thriller, it is not. It is a mystery that gently unfolds. The writing is superb; interesting characters, with historical knowledge of the small neighbourhood in New York and modern day twists reveal a Hatfield and McCoy type plot. The historic events are interesting and the author has played them nicely into a modern day romance. But it is definitely not suspense filled.

Makes you not want to grow old! Hope I've got someone to watch my back as I age, because some of the things that happen with Mina were all too familiar... sad to say. Great read!

A patron review from the Adult Summer Game: "Do you need an easy read to escape the hot sun this summer? Nominated for a Mary Higgins Clark Award, a riveting tale of murder and deception will keep you entertained and since you won't be able to put it down, a sunburn too!"
