Marvel Comics, because of their Byzantine continuity, are a very different reading experience. It can be confusing for new readers. As a reader from nearly the start. my early memories of the Hulk recall him roaming and storming around the American Southwest. Picking up after his recent assassination at the hands of Hawkeye, definitely a separate group of stories in themselves, the word "Immortal" for this series is not just a typical Marvel modifier throw-away (like for instance the Mighty Thor). Warning, this is only the beginning of what looks to be a long story arc, but the pace and ideas bring a breath of revitalizing fresh air to an old title. Reprinting the first five issues of the current series, now as I write this on #15, this is a good jumping on point for old and new fans.
