Terrifyingly thorough! This book looks at food-borne illnesses from every angle--by food group, by pathogen, by method of contamination, etc. It gives advice on how to avoid getting ill and addresses shopping and preparing food as well as eating out and travelling. Mostly it describes, in grisly detail, all the ways food can become contaminated and all the illnesses and symptoms that can lead to. It is extremely well-researched and written by a world authority on the subject, so you can rely on it 100%. But be warned, you might not ever want to eat again after reading it! Seriously though, it's an excellent book on the subject, a full 5 stars.
