I will continue to follow the Alex Cross offerings but I think I will have to part ways with James Patterson (and co-authors) on everything else. The Murder Club originally was pretty entertaining but the last couple were a disappointment for me and this one was nearly in the category of what I would put down before completing. James Patterson's early works were so exciting and captivating -- it seemed unnecessary to read the back jacket info as long as his name was on the book. Alas, that is no longer the case in my humble opinion. Too many titles in too short of time seems to result in disappointment. Readers are so hard to please -- I have a few authors who seem to take FOREVER to bring out the next part of their series, and it is hard to be patient. When the newest does come out, it seems to be well worth the wait. Perhaps James Patterson should treat all his efforts like his Alex Cross titles.
